The past few months we have been so busy out and about at conferences and delivering in person training. As much as we have loved this, we are calming things down a little for the summer. Firstly Dr Lee is writing new material for the second edition of his book ‘Teaching the World to Sleep’. This is due to be launched in time for our 20th Anniversary next year. Secondly we are strong believers that you need to create a good work life balance to prevent burn out. So we usually keep things quiet around the office in August to allow our employees to spend some quality time with their families in the sunshine (hopefully!). However there will always be someone available to answer any sleep related queries during office hours.
Summer Holidays
If you are concerned about your children’s sleep in the holiday and want some advice on how to protect their sleep over the summer, read Dr Lee’s article in the NR Times: https://nrtimes.co.uk/sleep-and-the-school-summer-holidays-sleepunltd/
Reflection
August is the time we reflect on the things we have learnt from the conferences and training we have delivered in the first six months of the year. This enables us to grow our business, making our services better for our colleagues, clients and employees.
What’s been really clear is the growing number of people who are affected by Long Covid seeking help with their sleep. We will continue to help those who are suffering with Long Covid and post viral syndrome and have talks planned in the Autumn around this topic. Watch this space for more information about where to hear these.
Actigraphy Reports
One of the main things we are working on this summer is improving our actigraphy reports and sleep management plans. This is because we want to make sure our clients are receiving the best possible advice in their sleep management plan to help improve their sleep and daily routine. During the summer we will be contacting all the case managers and OT’s who have referred clients to us to see what’s working and what can be improved upon. We are grateful for those who have already completed our feedback form. As a result we will be implementing changes into our brand new reports. If you have any feedback, please do reach out to us at info@sleepunlimited.co.uk, we would love to hear from you!
This Month
In August we are very excited to start our association with Super Wellness Workplace Wellbeing: Corporate Health & Nutrition UK (superwellness.co.uk) kickstarting things with our ‘introduction to sleep’ for wellbeing champions across the UK.
This month our new and improved iSleep Assessments are available. We have listened to the feedback from our clients, and we are now offering two follow up consultations with Dr Zoe Gotts. After receiving your personalised iSleep report, your initial consultation will be to dive deeper into your sleep problems and how to improve your sleep. The second consultation is to check in with your progress to see what has improved and if there are any tweaks to be made to your new routine to ensure you have the best nights sleep. Contact info@sleepunlimited.co.uk to set up your personal iSleep Assessment.
After August we are getting back into the swing of things with our free Lunch & Learn online session on the 7th of September and our Sleep in Complex Conditions online course on the 13th of September. For further information contact training@sleepunlimited.co.uk.
