Sleep Unlimited provide highly acclaimed open course training for health care professionals across the UK and online – as well as specialist training days for those working with people who have sustained life changing injuries

The REST Programme™ Day One – Sleep Assessment and Management Foundation course
Led by engaging Sleep Psychologist Dr David Lee.
This event provides evidence-based information, insight and tools which will deepen knowledge and understanding of this often neglected area of clinical practice.  The training has relevance and impact across clinical groups.
The programme includes:
  • Introduction to and purpose of sleep
  • Sleep problems in long term health conditions, chronic pain, depression, anxiety and other co-morbidities
  • Types of insomnia – how to recognise and classify sleep problems
  • Non-pharmacological treatments and approaches
  • Recognising and assessing issues with sleep
  • Impact of good sleep practices
The REST Programme™ Day Two – Advanced Assessment and Treatment Strategies for People with Insomnia
Participants in this session will be able to recognise the presence and importance of sleep disturbances in their various clients and will be provided with a range of strategies to manage their clients’ sleeping problems more effectively.
This training is only open to those who have completed our one day Foundation course in Sleep Assessment and Management.
The programme includes:
  • A detailed assessment and formulation process
  • Examination of the process of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBTi) and treatment options including a stepped-care CBTi suitable for more complex conditions
  • Case discussions and an interactive session at the end of the day where delegates can bring their own case examples/client groups forward for consideration within the treatment model

The REST Programme™ Open Courses for 2022

These courses have relevance for medical doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, clinical psychologists, neuropsychologists, counsellors, psychotherapists, speech and language therapists, care managers, case managers, psychiatrists and others who are interested in understanding the impact of sleep problems on the patients/clients they work with and how to assess and manage these to improve sleep, fatigue, compliance with other therapies and performance.

Please note that these courses are not ‘train the trainer’ events – Dr Lee and our other trainers are experts in sleep (a process which takes years!) They are designed so that you can incorporate CBTi into your current practice and help your clients (and yourself, friends and family) to achieve better sleep alongside the work that you currently do.

Sleep In People With Complex Conditions

Our training for healthcare professionals who work with those who have complex and/or chronic conditions is now available as an open course to individuals and small teams. This day long course will provide an introduction to evidence based psychological and behavioural treatment interventions (CBTi) for children and adults who have a life changing injury, chronic pain, fatigue, anxiety, depression or PTSD.

Due to the current situation, we have decided to run these events as day long interactive live webinar sessions.  Please see the link to the course flyer and booking form below or contact us with any queries.
